In the U.S., it is an industry valued at over $130 billion annually made up of over 70,000 electrical contracting firms employing over 650,000 electrical workers. An electrical contractor is a business person or firm that performs specialized construction work related to the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical and communication systems. - See more at our National NECA website.
The Northern New York Chapter of NECA (NNY NECA) represents and fights for union electrical contractors in Lewis, Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Franklin, Clinton, and Essex Counties, New York. Our experienced members find that the most valuable resource to joining the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) is having your company sitting at the table when decisions are being made. Those decisions often concern labor relations and national policy decisions. We want leadership companies in the electrical contracting business.
Electrical contractors count on NECA to deliver the resources that help them make better business decisions, provide excellent customer service, and take advantage of innovative technology. NECA's national office and local chapters advance the electrical construction industry through advocacy, education, research, and standards development.
